Recipe Mtaziz

Recipe Mtaziz

Mtaziz has been a famous boiled food in my country from long time. This dish consists of brown flour, meat or chicken and some special spices. Some people cook this dish with vegetables. This is a famous dish in the winter because it has good ingredients to make the body warm. Older people prefer to eat this dish more than young people. This dish was very famous a long time ago because it’s a heavy meal and cheap ingredients.

Ingredients
1 onion      ¼ garlic        some spices         brown flour

chicken or beef       vegetables          water          salt

Cooking method
  • First, put the water with brown flour in a mixing bowl and mix them together until become dough.
  • Next, make dough like pancake.
  • Then put the pot in the oven with the onion, salt, and spices for 5 minutes.
  • Next, add the meat or chicken and water leave it in the oven until the meat cooks for ½ hour.
  • After that, add the pancake with vegetables until it boil and then put on low heat for 20 minutes “without moving”.
  • Finally, take the matziz out of the pot and enjoy!
